A robust Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) framework is essential for all financial intermediaries to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate risks arising from vendors, service providers, fintech partners, and other external parties. TPRM has become a strategic tool rather than a routine compliance exercise. An effective and mature TPRM can help Regulated Entities (REs) strengthen operational resilience, meet regulatory expectations, and build a sustainable third-party ecosystem that supports innovation, enhances customer service, and protects customers. TPRM should be risk-based and include effective business continuity and exit plans to ensure that a third party ' s disruption or failure does not materially affect REs’ critical operations. REs must also regularly review outsourcing strategies and arrangements to ensure their continued relevance and safety and soundness, especially in the context of widespread AI use.
This one-day programme aims to reinforce and enhance REs ' understanding of third-party risks in outsourcing operations and the vendor management life cycle.
The program will deal with the following topics:
The programme is designed for Board Members who provide strategic guidance, and for senior officials of banks (including Regional Rural Banks), financial institutions, NBFCs, and the Reserve Bank of India who oversee or regulate Risk, Compliance, Operational Risk, Third-Party Risk, and related functions.
