With the Regulated Entities (REs) seamlessly embracing cutting-edge technologies, the digital transformation in the Indian financial sector has witnessed an unprecedented growth. This has led to substantial innovation in products and enhanced user experience for the customers. As banks/FIs/NBFCs are Significant Data Fiduciaries (SDF) under the DPDP Act, they are required to ensure robust data security and data usage management to not only comply with the Act but also to meet regulatory expectations for ensuring continuous digital trust. With 9 months to go for the deadline, REs are at different levels of preparedness in implementing the provisions of the rules. Consent managers are required to register themselves by November 2026. The REs needs to put in place a robust system and processes to handle customers data with utmost secrecy and privacy to avoid stringent penal actions from regulators and government authorities.
This virtual program will enhance the understanding of the participants on the various developments around data security and consent management; it will also aim to empower the participants to overcome implementational challenges.
